Methodology
Evidence before narrative
No narrative creates facts. Every material claim is traceable back to an evidence record.
How it works
The Supplier Passport connects entities, identifiers, sources, facts, documents, transformations, versions, disputes and review decisions. The platform preserves the relationship between every claim and the evidence that supports it — from raw data to the published profile.
Evidence Graph
The map connecting every claim about a company to the source that supported it. In practice: it connects the entity, jurisdiction-specific identifiers, source, collection date, validity period, deterministic legal effect and change history.
Passport Timeline
The profile's history over time, not just today's snapshot. Every profile keeps successive snapshots of registration, ownership, regulatory, sanctions, document and dispute changes — history that cannot be reconstructed from a present-day search alone.
Confidence Ledger
The gauge for how well a specific piece of information can be backed by the available sources — not a trust score for the company as a whole. Assigns confidence to evidence, not reputation to the company, based on source authority, recency, entity matching, cross-source convergence and applied method.
Coverage Statement and Coverage Index
An honest summary of what could (and couldn't) be checked. Lists expected, checked, unavailable and not-applicable sources, with a data-as-of date and limitations. The index measures observability, not the company's risk or quality.
Evidence states
Every field on the Passport carries an explicit state — a lack of verification is never presented as a favorable conclusion.
| State | Definition | Treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Verified | Confirmed by an identified independent source. | Source, date and evidence. |
| Corroborated | Supported by compatible independent sources. | Sources and discrepancies. |
| Company-declared | Provided by the company under review. | Kept separate from official facts. |
| Buyer-supplied | Provided by the client for due diligence. | Origin and review scope. |
| Estimated | Produced by an analytical method. | Range, confidence and version. |
| Disputed | Subject to a formal disagreement. | History and review status. |
| Unverified | Inconclusive or unavailable check. | No automatic favorable conclusion. |
| Unobservable | Not accessible through available sources. | Additional diligence indicated. |
